Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager

Premium Automotive Dealership | East London

An established premium automotive dealership in East London is seeking a high-performing Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to take full ownership of its used vehicle division.

This role is suited to a proven automotive sales leader who understands the dynamics of the pre-owned market and can drive profitability through strong stock management, team leadership and sales performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising departmental performance, managing stock strategy and leading a results-driven sales team within a premium dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Department
  • Drive monthly unit sales, gross profit and departmental performance
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of sales executives
  • Oversee vehicle sourcing, trade-ins, stock control and pricing strategy
  • Monitor stock ageing and ensure optimal stock turn
  • Conduct vehicle appraisals and valuations
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience aligned with premium brand standards
  • Collaborate with F&I, new vehicle sales and dealer management
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to maintain market competitiveness
  • Maintain accurate reporting and dealership compliance standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager within a dealership
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets
  • Strong understanding of used vehicle sourcing, pricing and stock management
  • Experience working within a premium or high-performance dealership environment
  • Strong leadership and people management capability
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong business acumen and analytical ability
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Clear criminal and credit record
